Bendigo...Again!

The other day some friends and I visited Bendigo again. We stopped at Woodend along the way and had some morning tea in their great bakery. We visited as many op-shops as we could, but one lady told us there were a total of 17 in the area, one day i hope to get to them all.

Sneak Peak...

This is what I'm working on at the moment. This is my first time cross stitching and I'm finding it really addictive. I found the pattern in an old Woman's Weekly Handcraft book. I think some people may recognize it. There are some great tips over here that I found very helpful. I hope to show of the finished product very soon.

The Winner!

Today Claire and I placed all the names of the bloggers who entered our giveaway into a hat and pulled out a winner, and that name was Nomes! Congratulations, Nomes!! If You could e-mail us your address we will be sure to send off your prize as soon as possible. Thanks to everyone who entered, we really enjoyed reading all of your answers. And thanks to the Brown Owls, who very nicely allowed us to attend the picnic yesterday, it was really lovely, if a little windy. It was so great to see so much lovely picnic gear too. We can't wait for next year when we will both be eager members, and able to get to know everyone a little more!

Pretty new print!

Meg and I went op-shopping on Wednesday and we found this pretty fabric. We where so happy to find it because we haven't had much luck finding fabric at op-shops lately. We have quite a lot of it, so we will include a piece in our give away along with some other McCranky gifts. Check the post below for more details.

Happy to own old things!

I'm also very happy to find old things, especially old things that were once owned by young kids, who loved the thing they owned so much they had to write their name on it, the first one makes me laugh very much.

Happy to find things!

The other day I was doing a little cleaning and was really Happy to find this plate. I saw it in my Carters Guide to Everythig Vintage, which is a really great book, but haven't had a chance to look it up again as it is still packed away, but I remember really loving it and dreaming of finding one my self, I only need the tea cup now and then I will be even Happier, more cleaning to follow!

More things Happy can be found at Mikes!

Happy! Snacking

Yesterday Claire and I were really happy to be eating one of the most delicious donuts around. Its true, they really are the best, we buy them from a Bakery close by and they are only $1.20 which makes us even happier. They contain the perfect ratio of dough to icing to jam, it's nice to find things that are great!
