Op-Shopping!

Today Claire and I decided to visit some of our favourite op shops in Glenroy. Usually there is only three to visit but much to our surprise and excitement a new mega salvos and opened up near by. We started here first, because it was new it was very organised and neat, and we managed to find some really nice things. I picked up two woolen jumpers/cardigans in yellow and blue, a lovely old green coat, which i think I'll make a few alterations to, a really great woven handbag with nice wooden handles, and sturdy wood bedside table. Claire also managed to find some great things, she brought a dress (with its original tags) a really warm woolen cardi and some nice old white shoes, which make here feel really tall.

After this we headed off to the Vinnes around the corner, from the window we could see that they were having a huge 50% off clothing sale, and thought we were going to be in for some real bargains. unfortuanelty it seemed most things had been taken before we got there, we did manage to get a real Glomesh handbag to add to out ever growing collection, some really lovely plates for my new house, a vase and a mug we will give to pip for her collection.

Then we headed across the train tracks to the crazy Rotary shop and the smaller Good Will. The Rotary shop is jammed full of all sorts of things, today all we managed to find were some nice pillow cases and a pretty sheet. In the past this shop has provided Claire and I with some really amazing dresses and great knitwear, and Claire's favourite green sewing machine. At  the Good Will, we picked up some more mugs, another dress and some more pillow cases.

All these op-shops are located within walking distance from each other and the station. Claire and I usually visit about once a month and always come home with some really nice things, it really is worth the trip.

Above are some photos of our treasures
